Birkholz & Company

Birkholz & Company was founded in 1972 by attorney and CPA Arthur Birkholz and his son Peter Birkholz.

At the time, they were both managing a business called Multi-Tax, then the only on-line interactive computerized tax system in the country. 

While at Multi-Tax, Arthur and Peter, along with Arthur's other son William (Bill) Birkholz prepared tax returns on the side and ran them through the computer system to see where improvements could be made. 

After the sale of Multi-Tax to a larger competitor, Arthur, Peter and Bill decided to launch their own business to provide tax services to individual and small business clients.
